Myntra acquires 4 lakh new customers during BFD sale, witnesses 60 percent growth
Flipkart owned fashion e-commerce platform Myntra acquired 4.3 lakh new customers during its ‘Big Fashion Days’ event and witnessed a 60 percent growth in sales over its last edition.
The six-day sale event held between 29 September and 4 October saw 1.9 million people shopping for 6.43 million items across categories. Tier 2 and 3 cities across the country contributed over 56 percent to the company’s overall sales.
Men’s apparel, ethnic wear, kids wear, beauty and personal care were some of the highest-selling categories on the platform during the sale event.
Myntra’s private labels such as Roadster, House of Pataudi, HRX, Anouk, Mast & Harbour and Taavi, contributed about 28 percent to the sale.
Commenting on the BFD sale, Amar Nagaram, head at Myntra Jabong in a statement said, “The current edition of Myntra’s Big Fashion Days, welcomed the festive season with the choicest styles across categories and has by far been the biggest ever, witnessing 33 percent increase in orders over last year and registering 4.3 lakh new customers on the platform.”
“We have recorded a 60 percent growth over last edition with 56 percent of the sales coming from tier 2 and 3 cities. We saw a 32 percent increase in traffic over the last edition with 1.9 million people shopping for 6.43 million items, making it their best festive season shopping experience to date,” he added.
