Myntra’s StyleCast platform has launched a College Campus Ambassador programme which sees it partner with around 500 influencers based on leading campuses across India to promote its offerings.

Myntra StyleCast’s new College Campus Ambassador programme includes micro creators from amongst the top universities in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, the business announced in a press release on June 20. Participating creators style clothing and accessories from StyleCast’s wide multi-brand selection in their own ways and tag the platform’s dedicated social media handles to drive traffic to the site.

The new initiative is one half of Myntra StyleCast’s Creators Campaign which includes partnerships with 1,000 Indian influencers. The business is working on developing its reputation as a style authority as well as a retailer and is building closer ties with Gen Z shoppers through interactive commerce features.

“Creator-backed commerce is at our core and we want to harness the power of the younger, budding influencer pool by presenting them an opportunity to build highly engaging communities on Myntra Studio and M-Live, while showcasing  a wide range of trending styles to our audiences on StyleCast and enabling shopping based on community recommendations- just how the Gen-Z prefers,” said Myntra’s vice president and business head of apparel Padmakumar Pal in a press release.

“Our Campus Engagement initiative is an important aspect in this direction and we look forward to forging lasting relationships with our next generation of shoppers through our on-ground ambassadors who will be key to unlocking our next phase of our growth.”
