The head of Myntra-Jabong, Amar Nagaram, will now report to the head of Flipkart fashion, Rishi Vasudev, instead of Flipkart CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, as the business works to link Myntra and Flipkart Fashion.

Myntra and Flipkart have made fresh changes to their fashion business structure - Myntra

In another change in Flipkart and Myntra’s management, Myntra-Jabong head Amar Nagaram will now report to Rishi Vasudev, the head of Flipkart fashion. The move creates a stronger link between Flipkart’s fashion business and the Myntra-Jabong fashion portal.

Nagaram was made head of Myntra and Jabong after the dual business’ previous CEO, Ananth Narayanan, quit. Narayanan reported to Flipkart’s CEO Krishnamurthy as did his successor Nagaram before the change. Vasudev was also recently promoted to head Flipkart Fashion from within the business.

“In the past, Myntra and Flipkart Fashion had been competing with each other, but now the group wants to collaborate going forward,” a source close to the matter told the Economic Times.

“The thinking within the group is to get the two companies to come together in the areas of sourcing products from various fashion labels and merchants, which till now was done separately by both the Myntra and Flipkart teams. ”

Myntra’s private brand portfolio head, Manohar Kamath, has also been made head of the same category in Flipkart’s fashion department. Kamath will be in charge of the entire group’s private label fashion brands and Myntra’s chief people officer Manpreet Ratia has been given an advisory role.
