Myglamm appoints Daniel Bauer as global makeup director

The makeup brand Myglamm has appointed the celebrity makeup artist Daniel Bauer as global makeup director. The role will see Bauer create digital content about the brand’s makeup products.

Bauer, who has worked with many Bollywood celebrities and done hair and makeup for Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, and Katrina Kaif among others, will now step into a role with Myglamm.

The brand recently collaborated with the fashion designer Manish Malhotra on a makeup line and brought in the Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra as a brand ambassador, making Bauer’s appointment the brand’s third celebrity association. 

“When MyGlamm called me, I was immediately inspired by their approach to the role of education and makeup—not simply about bringing great European products to India, but with an effortless and authentic focus on product use and knowledge,” Bauer told Vogue India about his appointment. “However, the deal clincher for me was MyGlamm being a 100 per cent cruelty-free brand. In 2019, no makeup products need to ever be tested on animals.”

Bauer will work on product launches for Myglamm as well as creating digital content for the brand’s website. “Over the next few years, I’ll be working with MyGlamm’s team to develop a professional product line, as well as regularly produce video tutorials for social media which we are all pumped up to create,” explained Bauer.

“I’ve been an artist for well over 25 years, the last 10 in India. My beauty aesthetic is all about effortless glamour; Me and MyGlamm, I don’t think there could be a better fit.”
