Junior’s Fashion Week (JFW) showcased the Spring 2018 range of international brands in Mumbai and Pune on May 13 and May 20 respectively. With the modish and trendy collection showcase of brands like US Polo Assn. Kids (USPA), The Children's Place, Flying Machine Boyzone, Marks & Spencer, JFW created a stir across the fashion industry for children.

US Polo Assn. Kids showcased an assortment of striper and ove-rdyed polo tees, graphic round neck tees, trendy washed denim. Adding to the glamorous quotient, USPA showcased henley tees in playful colours, lively garment dyed cargo shorts and knit dresses with the brand’s signature stars and stripes print.

Flying Machine Boys' groovy Spring/Summer collection brought in cool, trendy styles for young boys, combining Flying Machine’s signature styles with catchy, contemporary trends in children’s fashion, JFW said in a press release.

"The Flying Machine wardrobe has always been unmistakably identifiable with the youth. Staying true to our nature of translating a youthful exuberance on to our clothes is something we take immense pride in," Alok Dubey, CEO, Lifestyle Brands at Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd., said.

"JFW is a great platform for Flying Machine Boys, not just to convey our offerings to a bigger audience, but also to present our collection with a brand-new perspective. The event, we believe, would create an ultra-receptive platform to showcase our collection. The scarcity of kid’s fashion in the market paves the way for fashion-forward brands in the category to come to the fore and such events are a strong foundation for the same," Alok added.

Marks & Spencer Boys’ wear was inspired by the still strong athleisure trend popular among young adults- vibrant clean colours, technical fabrics, underpinned by a sports aesthetic. Girls’ wear saw romantic bohemian influences with seasonal trend details such as ruffles, smocking, floral prints in a palette of cornflower & pale jade shades, together with palest Melba and bright pink highlights.

The Children’s Place showcased everything from basics to the most stylish, must-have outfits, all designed to keep up with kids’ busy, fun-filled lives. It included dresses, skirts with tropical botanicals and extra girly details (like embroidery and lace).

The collection also had conversational graphics, cool prints, beachy pastels and button-downs, polos and shorts in store for the Lo.
