On April 24, Mukhi Sisters took part in The Fashion Edit Exhibition by Lammeh at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The brand’s three designers met with customers and presented their latest jewellery collection in Dubai for the first time.

The brand showcased pieces from its new “No Guts No Glory” collection including gold bangles with “LOVE” embossed in black. Other pieces included jewelled leaf-style hair clips and globe-style pendants.

After recently winning the Fashion Trust Arabia award for “best jewellery category” in Doha, Mukhi Sisters is growing fast. The jewellery label created by three half-Indian half-Lebanese sisters uses a mix of gold, silver, and precious stones in its jewellery.

“Our father, Chandru Mukhi, is Indian,” co-founder Maya Mukhi told Vogue India in an online interview. “We grew up watching Indian films and even had a home tutor to teach us Hindi. We are inspired by the colours of India, and of course Indian jewels. We are a mix of both cultures (Indian and Lebanese), and we were brought up with values and traditions of both countries. This mix is subtly felt through our designs.”

Meena, Maya and Zeenat Mukhi launched Mukhi Sisters in 2009 inspired by their mixed Indian and Lebanese heritage. The brand has a flagship store in Downtown Beirut, Lebanon, and also retails from its own e-commerce store.
