Mrunalini Rao launches her new collection ‘Fusion Wear’

Hyderabad-based womenswear designer Mrunalini Rao has launched a new traditional wear collection, ‘Fusion Wear’ ahead of the upcoming wedding season.

The collection presents a bright take on Indian wear, with the inclusion of pieces such as capes, jackets, kaftans, draped pants, waistcoats, and layered skirts.

Commenting on her new collection, Mrunalini Rao in a statement said, “My fondness for Indian wear stems from the dramatic flares to the exciting cuts and extensive surface area that I get to work on. Exploring the marriage of contrasts has always been a key area of interest for me and with this collection, I further present my interpretation of contemporary styles perfect for a destination wedding.”

“I always try and keep the ever-evolving demographics of fashion in the forefront whilst designing any collection. With the changing narrative of the modern Indian bride who is more experimental in her approach and is on the lookout for a classic piece which is more contemporary in its approach, this collection comes as a whiff of fresh air,” she added.

Mrunalini Rao retails from its flagship store in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills and multi-brand stores across India’s metros as well as in London, UK. The brand is known for its bridal and traditional wear and runs a dedicated e-commerce store.
