Mr DIY opens largest store in India at Big Box Centre

Malaysia’s leading retailer, Mr DIY, has partnered with Big Box Centre, a retail mall in Thane, owned by realty major Shanti One for its largest store in the country.

The store is spread across an area of 11,000 square feet, and is the retailer’s second store in the country. Mr DIY entered the Indian market in December 2019, with its first store at Big Centre in Malad, Mumbai.
 
Mr DIY's new store will house over thousands of products across ten different categories including household, furnishing, jewellery, and apparel, among others.

Commenting on the partnership, Sanjiv Trehon, co-CEO at Shanti One in a statement said: “It is a matter of pride for being the partner of choice for an international retailer like Mr DIY. This is also a testament to the international standard and efficient big box retail space offerings by Big Centre.”
 
The Big Centre mall is one of the biggest in the city of Mumbai, housing brands like Big Bazaar, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Decathlon, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, Pepe, and Trends, among others.
 
Mr DIY is an internationally renowned retailer and has over 1,000 stores across Asia. The retailer is further looking to expand its presence in India by opening stores in other cities in the coming years.
