Moonshot to expand into personal care distribution
Moonshot is continuing to expand its services geographically. The omni-channel ‘distribution as a service’ platform plans to acquire four to five brands and move into personal care product categories.
The business started out focusing on the groceries category and is now expanding its fast moving consumer goods offering and moving into the personal care segment, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. Moonshot plans to bring in over 3,500 FMCG distributors into its network this year and service home care, personal care, and FMCG sectors, the business announced on Facebook.
Moonshot offers services including offering both up-and-coming and established direct-to-customer brands access to general, modern, and e-commerce trade as well as quick commerce. The business runs a tech-enabled plug-and-play solution and distribution network and plans to expand its services to stretch across India by the end of this calendar year.
“At Moonshot Distribution System, we are initiating the widespread reach of our portfolio companies to achieve scale geographically with zero fixed costs and helping them grow 100% month-on-month,” said Moonshot’s co-founder Atul Bahl, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “We offer extensive insights into packaging, pricing, weightage, schemes, and promotions best suited to increase consumer off-take for our partner bands from both national and regional perspectives. Due to our vast market reach and our constant feedback loop, we provide deep data analytics to both our brands and our distributor network helping them optimise demand and supply with extreme efficiency.”
