MoonRay develops vegan leather footwear line

New womenswear brand MoonRay has developed a line of plant-based vegan leather footwear to add to its selection of clothing and accessories on its e-commerce store. 

The new footwear line includes a Raffia Slide, which is made out of 100% plant-based vegan leather and is hand embroidered with the brand’s signature MoonRay design, the brand announced on Facebook. Designed to be functional and sustainable, the footwear line includes a wide array of slip-on designs featuring eye, star, and floral motifs. 
 
The new brand is also continuing to add to its product categories with the aim of offering a full wardrobe and accessories solution. The brand recently launched a line of 22 carat gold-plated jewellery with a range of celestial motifs and quirky yet wearable designs and has also launched a range of handbags and casual and occasion wear. 

Designer and bridal wear brand Jade’s co-founder Karishma Swali launched MoonRay with her daughter Avantika Swali in December, 2021, opening with an e-commerce store and studio space. 

The brand targets a younger customer base with prices in the bridge-to-luxury segment of the market and has pledged 50% of its proceeds to support children’s education and animal welfare through NGOs.
