The ‘Feed x Monica Singh’ collaborative collection launched in New York on International Women’s Day on March 8. Singh and Bush spoke about their collaboration and respective charitable efforts at the launch and presented two bags, a tote bag and a pouch, designed to raise funds for MSF and provide children with school meals.

Each purchase of a tote bag from the collection pays for 50 school meals, along with a donation to MSF, while each purchase of a pouch pays for 25 school meals and a MSF donation, Elle India reported. Donations to MSF will be used to give scholarships to survivors of gender based violence.

The bags also feature a small doll charm, which was handmade and hand-beaded by members of the Indian female artisan collective, Projecthrive. The lining of the bags was also block-printed in India.

Monica Singh and Nikhil Singh founded The Mahendra Singh Foundation as a non-profit organisation in 2015. The organisation works to end gendered violence against women and to empower survivors of gender-based violence.
