Brand building specialist Mohan Murjani has partnered with clothing brand Neometa to launch Gloria Vanderbilt in the Indian market. Planning to expand the label swiftly offline, Gloria Vanderbilt will open its first brick-and-mortar store in Bengaluru.

“After a decade away from India, where I successfully built Tommy Hilfiger into the largest international designer brand, I am thrilled to return and collaborate with Neometa,” said Mohan Murjani, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “Their co-founders' capabilities and extensive experience impressed me, and their commitment, passion, and deep respect for the Gloria Vanderbilt brand captivated me. I have no doubt that this partnership, with such a highly talented team, will not only provide the best fitting women's jeans in India but also offer a wide range of highly desirable products.”
The first Gloria Vanderbilt store will focus on its denim offering and is scheduled to open in Bengaluru in October this year. The brand will then open around 12 exclusive brand outlets across India in the coming two years for the first phase of expansion in the country. The brand will also be available through shop-in-shops inside multi-brand stores, aiming to open 400 points of sale in the coming few years.
“This partnership allows Neometa to unleash its creative and technological prowess in curating captivating collections that resonate deeply with the modern Indian woman while honouring the essence of the revered Gloria Vanderbilt,” said Neometa’s founder Anupam Singh about the partnership.
