MMTC-PAMP appoints Anika Agarwal as consumer business head

Gold and silver business MMTC-PAMP has appointed Ankita Agarwal as its new president of consumer business to expand the brand’s footprint across India.

In her new role at MMTC-PAMP, Ankita Agarwal will be responsible for building and delivering an expansion strategy to increase the business’ brick-and-mortar and online footprint across India, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. Agarwal will report to Vikas Singh, the business’ managing director and CEO.
 
Agarwal has expertise in building consumer brands and scaling up direct-to-consumer businesses. She has previously worked at Max Bupa Health Insurance, where she worked on a number of industry-first digital innovations, according to MMTC-PAMP. Agarwal has also worked in the retail and telecom sectors. 

MMTC-PAMP is India’s first and only London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) accredited Good Delivery refinery for gold and silver. The business has recently been focusing on digital gold and describes itself as the market leaser in India’s digital gold sector. 
 
The business is a joint venture between PAMP SA Switzerland and Government of India undertaking, MMTC Ltd. The business retails 24 carat 999.9 pure gold products, as well as silver.
