Mizonu, the Japanese sports equipment manufacturer, has just published its annual results ended on March 31st, 2011. Stable sales of 1.3 billion euros (150 billion yens) represent a slight 0.9% increase, but which contrasts with the 8.2% decrease that the company saw the year before. It was in the European and American continents where Mizuno registered the best performance.

European sales went up from 17 to 93 million euros, mainly thanks to sales of products for running activities. From the total, 63 million euros were made from sales in clothing footwear and 30 million from sales in the golf sector.
The American continent also saw its sales grow to 174 million euros thanks to running and golf. As for the brand’s domestic market, sales were down 8 million euros to 959 million, mainly due to a decrease in sales of golf products and clothing in general, but also because of the earthquake that hit Japan on March 11th.
