Mishru and Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan presented glamorous takes on traditional and occasion wear at their joint showcase on day one of Lakme Fashion week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India.

October 12 saw Lakme Fashion week in partnership with the FDCI kick off with a mixed bill of young designers, menswear, and seasoned luxury designers. The Mishru and Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan joint showcase brought together two brands known for their classic takes on glamour and opulent fusion wear.
Mishru’s collection featured both menswear and womenswear in classic traditional silhouettes as models walked a circular runway. Glitter abounded on gowns, lehengas, and sherwanis, and the colour palette moved from white to jewel tones to black.

Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan’s womenswear collection took fusion style silhouettes and adorned them with feathers and metallics to turn the models into tropical birds as they walked the runway. Cropped tops were paired with slim-fit skirts and floaty maxi dresses with strappy details contrasted with flapper-style mini-dresses, all styled with stilettos and sleek hair.
This season, Lakme Fashion week in partnership with the FDCI runs from October 12 to 16 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The fashion week mixes runway shows with online broadcasts and includes numerous initiatives for sustainable fashion and young designers.
