Misho partners with Ashiesh Shah for conceptual jewellery

Suhani Parekh’s jewellery brand Misho has teamed up with architect Ashiesh Shah to create a limited-edition piece of jewellery which mixes the two creatives’ disciplines.
Named ‘Moonshadow’, Misho and Ashiesh Shah’s collaborative jewellery design reimagines Shah’s signature vase of the same name as a necklace. The minimal, fluid vase-pendant has a hole in which the wearer is encouraged to put some dried flowers or twigs to create somewhat of a living, wearable sculpture.
Before launching Misho, Parekh previously worked in Shah’s atelier for luxury homeware and art objects. Parekh has called the collaboration with her former mentor, “a meeting of two practices,” Vogue India reported.
“It was an absolute delight collaborating with Misho and witnessing Moonshadow transport into a piece of jewellery,” Shah announced on Instagram. “The miniature sculpture is a true amalgamation of our shared passion for creating objects that embody architecture.”
After launching less than a week ago on Misho’s e-commerce store, both brands announced that the limited edition drop has sold out yesterday.
Misho has been announced as one of the nominees for the Dezeen Awards 2021 in the category ‘wearable design’ for its ‘Pebble Pods’. The brand’s earrings are described by Dezeen Awards as the first piece of jewellery designed especially to hold Apple EarPods.
