"It's important to cater to the big middle class of India, which is going to be the next big consumer of luxury. Couture needs to be democratic and the vision is to make every garment a limited-edition piece," Neeta Lulla said in a statement.

The ace designer known as the ‘Czarina of Indian Fashion’ is planning to launch a wedding wear collection to cater to the middle-class segment as she feels that a " budget friendly wedding" is a real trend.

"It's become obvious over the past few years that a lot more couples who want to have non-traditional weddings also want to look at ways to cut costs. It could be because more couples are footing the bill themselves, rather than having their parents paying, or just because they are realizing that having a budget-friendly wedding is a real trend," Lulla added.

Neeta who has spent over three decades in the Indian fashion industry will launch her affordable label N Bride, to create a fine balance between haute couture and prêt à porter for the discerning consumers.

The USP of the brand is its ability to fuse western and ethnic silhouettes, prints and designs catering to varied tastes, the statement added.

The collection is priced in the range of Rs 30,000 to Rs1 lakh and will be available at fashion stores like Aza, Ensemble, Angasutra, Label24 Dubai, Vesimi Dubai, Aashni+Co in London, Bibi in London and Pernia's Pop Up as well as the flagship The House Of Neeta Lulla store in Juhu, Mumbai.
