The creative, who co-founded the womenswear brand in 2008 with Carly Cushnie, is parting ways with the company, alongside chief executive officer Peter Arnold, WWD reports. The publication cites the reason for the split as the fact that the design duo's relationship had "run its course and came to a natural end." The move will leave Cushnie to stand in as CEO temporarily.

The news follows the brand's 10th anniversary collection presentation, which took place days ago during New York Fashion Week. Earlier this month, it was also announced that the brand has teamed up with Lee Jeans on a "Body Optix" denim collection designed to flatter the female form, with the collaboration set to launch in the fall.

Cushnie et Ochs has made a name for itself for its modern, feminine approach to womenswear, and the brand -- which is sold at 150 retail points around the world -- has previously been nominated for CFDA Swarovski Award, and selected as a finalist for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.

Ochs is not the only high-profile designer to have announced her resignation in the midst of "fashion month" -- earlier this week it was revealed that creative Jason Wu is parting ways with Hugo Boss, while Carolina Herrera also declared plans recently to take on an ambassadorial role at her eponymous fashion brand.
