California-based brand Michael Stars has launched a collaboration collection with Paula Coles Haiti called the Artisan Collection that aim to help women and families living in Haiti.

Michael Stars

The collection consists of Michael Stars linen anorak jackets with hand-beaded designs by Haitian artisans. The hand-beaded ‘Veve’ designs are intricate symbols of the Haitian gods Erzulie, Aizan, Oyá, and Damballa. The production of the jackets provided employment for Haitian artisans in the community.

Keeping in line with Coles’ charitable initiatives in Haiti, $100 from each jacket sold will be donated to Haitian foundation PRODEV, to support them in providing education to underserved Haitian communities.

The collection is available exclusively at Michael Stars retail stores nationwide and on the brand's website.

Michael Stars currently has 11 stores altogether in New York, Georgia, Arizona and California, and 3 more opening soon.
