Michael Burke replaces Jordi Constans as Louis Vuitton CEO
Dec 18, 2012
Spanish Jordi Constans is no longer CEO of Louis Vuitton. The former head of Dairy Produce at Danone has had to step down for medical reasons, according to a press release from the LVMH group.
From Wednesday, Michael Burke will take office as CEO, taking over from Constans who has previously filled the position since the beginning of November, after spending a year familiarizing with the company.
Burke, an American, took over the reins of Bulgari in February. The ex-Fendi boss started with LVMH in the eighties and led the USA division of Louis Vuitton between the years of 1993 and 1997. His successor at Bulgari has yet to be announced.
Michael Burke is also to join the executive committee of the LVMH group
