Metro Brands opens Fitflop store in Mumbai

Footwear retail chain Metro Brands Ltd has opened the first exclusive store of UK-based footwear brand Fitflop in the city of Mumbai.

The store is located at the Palladium Mall houses collections such as Lulu, Gracie, Rumba, and more that include toe-post sandals, trainers, ballerinas, clogs, and boots.

In 2022, Metro Brands had signed a strategic partnership with Fitflop to exclusively retail and distribute the brand in India across various platforms and channels.

Commenting on the launch, Nissan Joseph, CEO of Metro Brands Ltd in a statement said, “We are delighted to introduce our consumers in Mumbai to the international Fitflop experience. In our promise of growing as a company with value, the new Fitflop store is a great testament to the collection and the experience. It is one of the many milestones in India for the brand and we look forward to making the globally loved wellness footwear brand more accessible to the Indian consumer.”

FitFlop was launched in 2007 by Canadian entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore and is currently available in around 65 countries. In India, it is available across 130 plus multi-brand outlets, including 110 Metro and Mochi stores as well as online portals and on Myntra.
