Metro Brands opens 600th flagship store
Footwear and accessories retailer Metro Brands has strengthened its retail presence with the opening of its 600th store in the city of Bengaluru.
The new multi-brand store located at Lulu Global Mall, Gopalpura, Bengaluru is spread across an area of 1,300 square feet and will house brands like Da Vinchi, Skechers, ID, Fitflop, and Crocs among others.
Commenting on the 600th store opening, Nissan Joseph chief executive officer of Metro Brands in a statement said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of our 600th store, which is also the 14th store of the brand Metro in Bengaluru. We look forward to providing our esteemed customers with superior footwear and accessories. Metro Brands will continue to showcase its best brands and offerings to cater to the quality-conscious Indian consumer.”
Metro Brands Ltd plans to invest heavily in retail expansion over the coming months to strengthen its foothold across the country. For the financial year 2021, the company recorded total revenue of Rs 878 crore ($117.4 million) and a net profit of 65 crore.
The Mumbai-based Metro brands Ltd has a network of 600 stores, across 134 cities. It houses brands like Metro Shoes, Mochi, Walkway, Davinchi and operates retail stores for Crocs.
