Metaman acquires Drip Project for $1 million

Men’s jewellery brand Metaman has acquired Mumbai-based luxury jewellery brand Drip Project for $1 million (Rs 8 crore).

With this acquisition, Drip Project co-founders Harsh Maskara and Rohit Golia will join Metaman’s management team.

Metaman had recently received seed funding from investors Nikhil Kamath, Prashanth Prakash, Gaurav Singh Kushwaha, cricketers KL Rahul, and Robin Uthappa.

Commenting on the acquisition, Anil Shetty, co-founder of Metaman in a statement said, “This acquisition diversifies our businesses and extends our footprint, opening the door to greater growth and innovation across the enterprise, he said.  In the new year, MetaMan plans to introduce over 100 new products ranging from brooches to sneaker accessories and many more.”

Harsh Maskara and Rohit Golia in a joint statement said, “Drip Project started as a passion project in our living room. It’s rewarding to see how in just 10 months, we paved our way to the forefront of the segment and became a name synonymous with hip-hop jewellery. It’s been a fruitful journey full of learnings and with Metaman stepping in, we hope to continue leading the space from the front.”

Metaman is the brainchild of Anil Shetty, Raunak Samdaria, and Yudister Narayan and sells its products exclusively from the brand’s website.
