Milano Unica announced last September its intention to hold an event in China. It is with Messe Frankfurt’s support that the Italian organizer of fabrics trade fairs will arrive in China.

The german giant, which already has a presence with Intertextile Beijing and Shanghai, has announced the collaboration with Milano Unica through its Hong Kong subsidiary – a collaboration in the form of a pavilion in the heart of the space taken up by the upscale Salon Europe. The Italian investors will be well cared for in a segment hosting European experts. "We welcome this partnership with Messe Frankfurt and are confident that this is only a beginning," said Silvio Albii, president of Milano Unica.

This collaboration comes at a time when the Italian government has reduced its export subsidies within the austerity plan. And in fact, this Italian pavillion itself is not new: it was previously in operation under the aegis of the former Italian Institue of Foreign Trade. Intertextile Beijing will run from the 28th to the 30th of next March.

Première Vision China, for its part, will be held on the 28th and 29th of March, also in the Chinese capital. The latest edition of the French fair in Shanghai, which was held last October, welcomed about 60 exhibitors of which 20 were Italian with high-end positioning and a creative aimed at the internal Chinese market.

Meanwhile, Milano Unica, which dates back to the Milan fairs in 2005, will hold its fourteenth Milanese installment from February 7th to the 9th.
