Melorra to open stores in Vegas Mall, DLF Promenade, and DLF Avenue

Jewellery brand Melorra will open three stores in Delhi in Vegas Mall, Dwarka; DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj; and DLF Avenue, Saket, as part of its pan-India expansion plan.

 
The lightweight fine jewellery start-up will strengthen its brick-and-mortar presence in the capital this month and open three ‘experience centre’ stores, which mix the brand’s selection of jewellery with interactive features. 
 
The stores will each feature around 500 to 1,000 jewellery designs out of the brand’s catalogue of 10,000 designs, ET Bureau reported. The stores will also feature a ‘Bliss Bar’, which is designed to give shoppers an opportunity to socialise with friends in the store. 

“The city is a key market for us, an important reason why our seamless, customer-in-control experience will add value here,” said Melorra’s founder and CEO, Saroja Yeramilli, ET Bureau reported.

“We are inspired by global trends and bring these elements into every lightweight, gold jewellery piece we offer.”
 
Melorra plans to open 350 stores in India in the next few years. The brand recently raised $12.5 million (Rs 83.2 crore) in an oversubscribed funding round, which was led by private equity firm Symphony Asia, as well as Lightbox Ventures, Alteria Capital, and a number of family offices. 
 
Melorra had previously opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Bengaluru’s Orion Mall. Over the coming six months, the brand also plans to open more stores in Delhi and Mumbai with a focus on high street and mall locations.
