Meijer announces its first
Skechers concept store
Meijer on Wednesday announced that it is continuing to up its fashion game with the spring launch of a Skechers concept shop inside the Knapp's Corner Meijer, roughly one year after the retailer unveiled a fresh approach to lure grocery customers across the center aisle to its apparel offerings.
The 804-square-foot concept store is the largest store to open from the company and will house 200 of the latest men’s, women’s, and children’s shoes. The store will also feature four video screens that will share product information, lifestyle news, and celebrity endorsers. The design of the store will be incorporated in future store remodels and new stores to come.
Rick Graham, Skechers Senior Vice President of Domestic Sales, said, "Meijer has been a strong Skechers partner for many years, so we're thrilled to expand our retail presence in their stores with this new shop in shop concept. It will showcase the Skechers brand with impactful visual displays, and create an accessible environment that is easy for customers to shop in."
The concept store opens with a celebration on March 21st.
