On Sunday, Megha Garg’s collection stood out for its simplicity amongst a range of opulent traditional wear. The Universe Beyond Clouds featured minimalist gowns draped in an almost Grecian manner. With a mostly neutral colour palette and knot-details, the collection represented a nuanced, subtle femininity. Navy blue and light pink dresses added colour to the collection which was styled by Riitika Shingari.

Models were given simple and classic makeup looks by makeup artist Mohit Sahdev using Avon Mark products. The show was directed by Ketan Bhatia with photography by the Vipin Gaur Academy and jewellery by Akassh K Agarwal.

Gowns were crafted from satin and featured thread hand embroidery patch work, according to Megha Garg’s social media. The collection was released on Instagram as a continuous feed, allowing Instagram users immediate access to the looks.

India Runway Week ran from September 12 to 15, exclusively on Instagram. The event described itself as “India’s first digital fashion week” and saw 35 designers release their latest collections on the mobile app.

Garg also recently took part in India Kids Fashion Week and showcased a children’s wear collection at the event’s Kolkata edition in August. Garg welcomed Ushoshi Sengupta as her showstopper and presented a brightly coloured collection of female children’s wear including fusion wear gowns and more casual dresses.
