The new store is spread over a total area of 14,000 sq ft and has two levels with separate floors for ladies, men's and kid's wear. The store was inaugurated by Bollywood actress Yami Gautam.

The Margao store is Max Fashion’s third store in Goa. Its previous two outlets in the state are in Porvorim and Vasco. The company is planning to add three more stores in the region, as it looks to close the year with 300 stores in India. As a result, Max Fashion is eyeing revenue of Rs 3,600 crore (approx $507.7 million) for the fiscal year 2018-19.

Commenting on the launch of new stores, Raghu Rajgopalan, chief operating officer at Max Fashion in a statement said, “We are very excited to launch our third outlet in Goa in such a short span. The move is in line with our overall target of unveiling 300 new stores by the end of the financial year 2019.”

He further added, “We are widely accepted by the urban population for our affordable pricing. We have plans of opening three more stores in Panaji, Mapusa, and Ponda in the future.”

Max Fashion was launched in the UAE in May 2004 and currently has a presence of around 280 stores in India and plans to achieve a target of 500 stores by 2022. Globally, Max has over 400 stores across 19 countries.
