Mastercard partners with BharatPe for its ‘Start Path’ program

Mastercard has partnered with digital payments firm BharatPe for its ‘Start Path’ program. BharatPe is the only company from India selected by Mastercard, as part of the latest group. Mastercard’s Start Path has a portfolio of 220 start-ups.

The six other Start Path start-ups picked this year are from the U.S., Indonesia, Israel, and Kenya and are functioning in categories like e-commerce, cybersecurity, digital payment solutions, and artificial intelligence.
 
With this partnership, BharatPe will get an opportunity to learn from Mastercard's network of experts, customers, and partners across the globe.

Commenting on the partnership, Ashneer Grover CEO and co-founder of BharatPe in a statement said: "We're excited to partner with Mastercard through their Start Path Programme. We look forward to collaborating with Mastercard and its global partners to deliver transformative solutions for our merchants in India."

BharatPe was co-founded by Ashneer Grover and Shashvat Nakrin 2018. It has already established its operations in 13 cities and currently serves over 10 Lakh merchants across Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Mysore, and Visakhapatnam.
