Mary Katrantzou has received yet another award. Based in London, the young Greek designer has won the 2015 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund.

The jury, which this year includes Naomi Campbell and the wife of the British Prime Minister, Samantha Cameron, chose Mary Katrantzou's designs over those of Emilia Wickstead, Holly Fulton, Michael van der Ham, Mother of Pearl, Osman and Sophia Webster, the other candidates selected because they represent, according to the British Fashion Council, London's future talent. The candidates had presented both their collections and a five-year business plan to the jury.

Mary Katrantzou, who already won the Swiss Textile Award in 2010, has received 200,000 pounds "to develop her business, as well as a bespoke, high-level mentoring support program over a twelve-month period to complete her collections," indicated the AFP.

In recent years, the young designer has created a buzz for herself through collaborations with, among others, Topshop, Longchamp and the latest Adidas Originals a few months ago, as well as the creation of a perfume in 2012.

Last year, the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund was awarded to the designer duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.
