Marc Jacobs recruits former Diesel Europe general manager
Jonathan Hewlett has left his post as European director at Diesel, one that he occupied for a year-and-half, and is subsequently taking up the role of commercial director at Marc Jacobs. Based in New York, Hewlett is the U.S. brand’s latest new high-profile recruit to arrive at the American headquarters.

Before the summer, the subsidiary of the LVMH Group already welcomed a new e-commerce manager, Matthew Schiff, who had previously worked for Li & Fing USA and The Frye Company.
Diesel has not officially commented on Hewlett’s departure but is losing one of its long-standing figures.
Hewlett began his career with the Italian denim brand in 2008, as general manager for Great Britain. He then moved up to the role of director of Diesel for Northern Europe in 2012, followed by China in 2016, and Europe again in 2017.
The executive had previously spent 16 years working for Procter & Gamble.
