Marc O'Polo is bolstering its international development. The German lifestyle brand, originally founded in Sweden, will open its first two stores in China in November - specifically in Chengdu and Shanghai.

The openings have been made possible through an undisclosed master franchisee. Marc O'Polo is also continuing to expand in Russia. In April, the brand opened two stores in Moscow and is about to open another in the capital in October.

In Russia, the network will include 15 monobrand stores and one shop in shop. A second store is also planned for Lithuania, in Tallinn.

Marc O’Polo, which also owns the brand Campus, generates 33% of its sales abroad, in thirty countries.

Not very vocal about its results, the Bavarian company saw its sales increase by 7.6% during its 2013-14 fiscal year ending on May 31. The brand’s sales (including Campus and its licenses for swimwear, eyewear, home, jewelry, childrenswear, socks and underwear) reached 452 million euros.
