Marc Jacobs confirms the discontinuation of Marc by Marc Jacobs

As announced last June, the new strategy for the American fashion label, which is controlled by French group LVMH, involved the abandonment of the Marc by Marc Jacobs line in order to focus exclusively on the Marc Jacobs label. The latter now combines entry-level and high-end products, which are going to be showcased together once per season.

A change of direction which immediately translated in the closing down of the Marc Jacobs store at Palais-Royal in Paris, followed by Milan and, last September, London (with the closing down of the South Audley St. and Mount St. stores).

The latest stage in the restructuring is the transformation, announced for the coming weeks, of the Marc by Marc Jacobs store in Place du Marché Saint-Honoré, Paris, into a Marc Jacobs store. This will be followed by the presentation of a new store concept in September 2017, starting from the store in Mercer Street, New York, the designer's historic first store.

In terms of the range, we note the creation of a new logo for the brand's accessories and the vintage America theme, which inspired the whole of the new collection.
