Manish Malhotra holds luxury showcase in Kolkata

Designer Manish Malhora brought his latest bridal and festive collection to Kolkata for a pop-up showcase at the Mandarin Taj Bengal on Friday.

Manish Malhotra showcased his latest collection, “Maahrumysha- Resplendent Beauty” in Kolkata on August 30. The event gave the city’s shoppers their first chance to browse the collection, fresh from the runway at the recent winter/ festive edition of Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai where Malhotra chose Bollywood celebrity Katrina Kaif as his showstopper. 

The collection features a colour palette of cotton, velvet, silk, and wool and has a colour palette of black, champagne, red, gold, and silver. Lehengas, sarees, kurtas, and gowns feature glittering details and heavy embroidery and menswear options include dark hued sherwani jackets and trousers accessorised with jewel encrusted slippers. 

Malhotra described the collection on his social media as, “a collection that celebrates the diversity, the inclusivity in fashion and that encompasses everything. A collection where everything is beautiful.”

Manish Malhotra launched his eponymous brand in 2004 after opening his first couture store in 1999. The designer has showcased collections internationally in South Africa and Dubai and the brand retails from a dedicated e-commerce store as well as flagships in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
