Last year, Malhotra opened ICW with Deepika Padukone and Fawad Khan and this year he closed it with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, making this his fourth finale for the event. The two celebrities have already worked together including on the upcoming film “Gully Boys” and due to their previous chemistry and youthful appeal, Malhotra chose them to be a part of his show. Bhatt was dressed in an extravagant evening ensemble and Singh in a glittery black sherwani as they cheerfully walked the runway.

Malhotra’s collection was entitled “Sensuous Affair” and floaty fabrics contrasted with heavily embellished textiles. The colour champagne featured heavily in his evening and bridal wear and is also the main colour in his new couture advertising campaign. Bhatt and Singh’s appearance was announced on Malhotra’s social media just one day before the show.

Manish Malhotra started his career in fashion as a costume designer for the film industry in 1990, opened a couture shop in 1999, and launched his eponymous label in 2004. Malhotra has styled over 1000 films and has shown countless times at ICW. Malhotra’s designs are sold in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Dubai as well as online in stores such as Pernia’s Pop-up Shop.
