Malabar Gold expands retail presence with store in Bengaluru
India's leading jewellery retail chain, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, has begun its expansion plan for the year with the opening of a new store in the city of Bengaluru.
The expansion is part of Malabar Gold's Rs 800 crore ($107 million) global expansion plan in which it plans to open 22 new showrooms in GCC, Far East, and India over the next few months.
The new store is located at MG Road and spread across an area of 22,000 square feet. The showroom will house the latest collection from the brand and expects strong sales from its newly launched store.
The store also features an exclusive wedding lounge for prospective brides and private suites for privileged customers.
Commenting on the store opening, Malabar Group chairman, M P Ahammed, in a statement said, “The ‘Artistry’ store experience is a unique offering by our brand, with the aim to provide an enhanced shopping experience and an unparalleled selection of artistic designs from across the country to the discerning customers in Bengaluru.”
Malabar Gold and Diamonds has a robust retail presence with more than 260 showrooms in 10 countries across the globe. In addition, the group has 14 wholesale units and 14 jewellery making units in India and abroad.
