Macmerise Celfie Design raises $1 million from Inflection Point Ventures, others
Macmerise Celfie Design Pvt Ltd (MCD) has raised $1 million (Rs 7 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. Amitabh Bachchan, Tarun Katial, Ajmera Group, NAFA Capital and others also participated in the funding round.
Macmerise will put the funds towards improving tech infrastructure, on boarding brands/celebrities to launch their merchandise, customer acquisition, and product development.
Commenting on the investment, Mitesh Shah, co-founder of Inflection Point Ventures in a statement said, “Within e-commerce, we see the creative fashion and accessories space becoming bigger and by the very nature of their business it will drive higher customer loyalty. MCD as a company aims to tell your story through your accessories and as investors, we find this proposition promising in terms of growth and scale.”
Sahil Shah, founder CEO of MCD added, “We truly believe the world of merchandising is changing and at Macmerise we have created our products, tech and business model to lead this change from the front. We aim to join hands with leading celebrities/creators of this generation to build their authentic range of designer products and manage the complete supply chain cycle of these brands.”
Founded by Sahil Shah and Rahul Satia, Macmerise offers products across categories such as fashion and apparel, home, and others. It claims to have more than 24 licenses and tie-ups with brands like Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, and Jim Beam, among others, to sell themed merchandise on its platform.
