Mac Cosmetics will launch its new skincare offering in the Indian market in February this year. The North American beauty brand has diversified its product selection to tap into the fast growing skincare market.

“We have to have skincare that works with makeup,” said Mac Cosmetics’ global creative director Drew Elliott about the brand’s new launch, Vogue India reported. “Performance-based skincare just completes the kit.”
Mac Cosmetics has previously launched products which fall under the skincare category, such as its ‘Strobe Cream’ and its ‘Prep + Prime Fix+’ setting spray. However, its new, gel-like hybrid product ‘Hyper Real Serumizer’ is its first which is designed to be used with or without makeup, as part of an overall makeup look or as a stand-alone skin treatment, according to the brand.
Mac Cosmetics’ Hyper Real Serumizer is designed as a multitasking fluid which can be massaged into the skin and includes hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and Japanese peony extract. The product is designed to target multiple skin issues at once and is the first product to launch from the brand’s new ‘Hyper Real’ line and a cleansing oil and moisturising balm are also planned for the near future.
Mac Cosmetics retails in India with a range of multi-brand retailers including Sephora and Shoppers Stop. The brand is keen to tap into India’s booming skincare market which grew significantly during the pandemic and is showing no signs of slowing down.
