The new baby care brand opened its first retail point inside the ‘Maternity Specialty Hospital’ Fortis La Femme in Greater Kailash 2, Maaté announced. Maaté will also offer free samples of its products, which include a range of skincare for babies, to parents and parents-to-be visiting the hospital.

The retail point stocks products including body and face moisturisers, hair oil, body wash, and cleansers, among others. The brand aims to open similar retail points in metros including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai this quarter, and also retails from its e-commerce site.

“For any parent, it is essential to use the best for their child, especially when it comes to skin and body care,” said the brand’s co-founder, Priyanka Raina, ET Retail reported.

“Every parent prioritises brands that they can trust, brands that are honest and transparent. With Maaté, we hope to achieve that at Fortis La Femme. Both the brands share the same ideologies when it comes to baby care, and it came to us very organically to partner with them.”

Indian cricketer Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Raina launched Maaté last year and the brand’s name means ‘mother’ in Sanskrit. The brand’s products are inspired by Ayurvedic principles and are made from all natural ingredients, according to its website.
