Luxottica has gone digital to boost its eyewear sales in the Indian market, with the launch of its new virtual optical store ‘Smart Shopper’.

Luxottica’s ‘Smart Shopper’ offers unique concepts like an endless digital collection of 15,000-plus products from over 20 brands coupled with augmented reality through virtual try-on to provide safe, experiential shopping experience to its customers.
 
The Smart Shopper feature was recently launched at Luxottica India’s premium retail partner Dayal Opticals at their Khan Market store in Delhi.

Commenting on the launch of Smart Shopper, Akash Goyle, country manager and managing director of Luxottica India, in a statement said: “Digital innovation is the future for Luxottica and the entire eyewear industry. As we face newer challenges to keep up with the current situation and cater to an ever-changing consumer behaviour, our commitment remains to address the growing concerns and ensure that we offer a safe yet experiential environment at our partner stores.
 
“The Smart Shopper feature will allow the consumers visiting our partner stores to explore and Virtually Try-On any product from our vast assortment,” he added.
 
Luxottica has invested heavily in digital renovation and plans to take the Smart Shopper feature to leading opticians across top the 20 cities in India.
