The sportswear industry executive joined the Canadian activewear brand in April, 2022, where he was charged with leading its global creative strategy and roadmap for product design, building upon the work of Lululemon’s design team. He reported to Lululemon's chief product officer, Sun Choe.

Prior to joining Lululemon, Dickinson served in various executive roles across sporting goods and fashion. After nine years, he joined the UK apparel brand Superdry as creative director before joining Lululemon in a similar role that year.

“We are heartbroken by the loss of our colleague and friend, Phil Dickinson,” said Calvin McDonald, CEO of Lululemon, in a statement.

“Phil was a visionary and inspiring leader who will be remembered for his positive impact on his teams and the company. We are focused on supporting his family during this difficult time and ask that others join us in respecting their privacy.”
