Lulu Group to open two malls in Uttar Pradesh

Multinational conglomerate Lulu Group plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in Uttar Pradesh which will include the construction of a Lulu Mall in Varanasi and in Prayagraj.

Lulu Group plans to run three new projects in the state of Uttar Pradesh comprising two malls and a food processing hub in Greater Noida, ET Bureau reporter. The business announced the plans at the recent third Investment Summit in Uttar Pradesh which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by numerous government officials. 

The business has completed a Rs 2,000 crore mall construction project in Lucknow and the mall will soon open its doors to the public. Lulu Group’s two planned malls for Uttar Pradesh should be completed in the coming two years, the business’ founder Yusuff Ali told Modi in a briefing at the Investment Summit’s dedicated Lulu Pavilion, the Economic Times reported.

The Uttar Pradesh Investment Summit ran at a large scale for the first time following the pandemic and featured over 600 investors showcasing their planned initiatives for the state. Featured businesses included startups and those engaged in technological innovation. 

Lulu Group is run by Kerala-born Yusuff Ali and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The business, launched in the year 2000, operates numerous shopping malls across India as well as hypermarkets and other retail outlets.
