Lulu Group launches Y Mall in Thrissur

Lulu Group has opened Y Mall in Thrissur with over 40 Indian and international brands in categories including accessories and fashion.

On December 29, 2019, the chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, M A Yusuff Ali, opened Y Mall in his home town of Triprayar in Thrissur district. The mall, which was built with an investment of Rs 250 crore ($37.6 million), has 2.5 lakh square feet of retail space and was built on 4.6 acres of land.

The mall will house a number of fashion brands including Wrangler, Jockey, Blackberrys, American Tourister, Blossom, and Lens and Frames. The mall will also launch salon services in the near future and is equipped with a food court, prayer hall, and entertainment floor. Additional product categories covered by the mall include watches, accessories, children’s wear, innerwear, denim, and footwear.

Ali stated at the mall’s inauguration ceremony that he built the space to benefit the area and, under the ownership of his charity the Y Foundation, profits from the mall will be donated to activities in Thrissur. Ali aims to donate around Rs 19 lakh every year from the mall’s profit to places of worship in the town.
