Lulu Mall opens doors to Kerala's largest mall in Thiruvananthapuram

Lulu Mall opened its doors to customers in Thiruvananthapuram. The retail development project is now the largest mall in Kerala and it features 300 Indian and international brands.

Lulu Mall is now open for business with stores for clothing and accessories brands including Shoppers Stop, Max, Westside, Pantaloons, Puma, Skechers, and Adidas, among others. Beauty and personal care brands including Nykaa Luxe, Forest Essentials, and the Body Shop also have stores in the mall along with watch brands Tissot, Swiss Time House, and World of Titan.
 
The retail space measures two million square feet and it is located at Akkulam on the NH 66 bypass, close to Technopark. The mall also features its own stores Lulu Hypermarket, Lulu Fashion Store, Lulu Connect, and Lulu Celebrate, as well as a bowling alley, 2,500-seater food court, roller coaster, cinema, carousel, arcade, climbing wall, and trampoline, among other attractions. 

The mall development was built with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore ($300.6 million) and the project created over 10,000 employment opportunities in the area, India Today reported. The development was also awarded the Indian Green Building Council’s Gold Certificate for environment-friendly construction, Indian Retailer reported. 
 
The mall was constructed by UAE-based Lulu Group in close association with the Kerala state government. The mall is also designed to boost Kerala’s tourism industry, Indian Retailer said its latest report.
