Lovebirds kicked off day four of LMIFW with its spring/ summer 2020 collection. The collection featured relaxed, loose silhouettes with a hint of androgyny. Shirt dresses epitomised the collection’s casual, elegant feel and white fabrics with painterly black brushstrokes on hinted at a Japanese inspiration.

Stripes and chequerboard prints added a streetwear element to the garments as did utilitarian style bags but clutch bags and pink dresses added a feminine dimension. Models wore natural hair and makeup and some wore a single chandelier style earring which added to the collection’s quirky aesthetic.

Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week ran from October 9 to October 13 in New Delhi. Organised by the Fashion Design Council of India, the event’s theme for its spring/ summer 2020 season was “My Fashion My Tribe”.

Lovebirds was founded by Amrita Khanna and Gursi Singh and retails from its flagship store and studio in Chattarpur, New Delhi as well as its dedicated e-commerce store. The brand, “focuses on achieving a balance between efficiency and expression,” according to its Facebook page.
