‘Rose des Vents’, ‘Turbulences’, ‘Dans la Peau’, ‘Contre Moi’, ‘Matière Noire’, ‘Mille Feux’ and ‘Apogée’: these are the names of the seven new women's fragrances by Louis Vuitton. They will be launched on 1st September, and will be exclusively available at the luxury label's branded stores.

Seventy years after its last perfume, the trunk-maker has gone back to fragrances, under the supervision of Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, who was appointed Louis Vuitton's master perfumer in 2012.

The new scents' main notes are those of fresh flowers, such as the centifolia rose from Provence, jasmine and lily of the valley. The container was created by designer Marc Newson, and is distinctive for its purity and simplicity, with black lettering on a transparent bottle. Finally, the white and gold carton has the same cylindrical shape of 'Je, tu, il', a Louis Vuitton fragrance that was launched in 1928 and has since disappeared.

Each of the seven Louis Vuitton fragrances is available in three sizes: 200 ml (€300), 100 ml (€200) and a travel size with four 7.5 ml vials (€200). It will also be possible to re-fill the bottles, using the fragrance fountains available in the stores.

To embody this latest fragrant chapter in the history of Louis Vuitton, the advertising campaign due to start in September will feature French actress Léa Seydoux.
