London Collections: Men is being extended

Published

London Collections: Men (LC: M) is being extended. Launched in January 2012, London’s men's fashion week has firmly established itself as part of the international fashion calendar, continuing to grow despite controversies and conflicts as regards dates with the Pitti Uomo.

Originally only a small part of London’s Fashion Week for women, it soon turned into half a day, then three full days…and now, it has been extended once more to 4 days.

The next London Collections: Men will last 4 days, from January 9-12, 2015

The next edition of London Collections: Men, dedicated to men’s fall/winter 2015-16 ready-to-wear collections, will be held from January 9-12, 2015. This time, it will be free from conflicts with two other key menswear events: Pitti Uomo, which will follow from January 13-16, and Milan’s Fashion Week scheduled from January 17-20.

"Now in its sixth season, LC: M has continued to grow year on year, this expansion reflecting its success. As more designers join the schedule and attendance figures grow, the extra day will allow press and buyers the opportunity to experience all that LC: M has to offer – from London’s heritage brands and international names through to the most celebrated emerging talent,” said Dylan Jones, editor of British GQ and chair of London Collections in a statement.

Topman Design, the high-end line of Topshop’s menswear line Topman, will open the week. Designed by Gordon Richardson, the collection will celebrate the tenth anniversary of MAN, the project that paved the way for LC: M, and promises to be a highlight of London Collections: Men.
