Linen Club to partner with retail stores, expand presence for growth

Linen Club, a fashion brand from Jaya Shree Textiles, India's leading linen brand manufacturing company is planning to partner with leading retailers to boost its sales in the country.

Linen Club currently caters to all the segments men’s, women’s & kid’s wear offering pure linen clothing & apparels like shirts, trousers, jackets, suits and ethnic wear at its exclusive brand outlets (EBO). The company is now planning to sell its linen garments in multi brand outlets.
 
Apart from the tie ups with retailers Linen Club is planning to take its EBO count to 300 over the next 3 years and is expected to add 40 exclusive stores this fiscal in order to gain a dominant share of the linen market of India.

India’s linen fabrics market size is estimated to be around Rs 2,000 crore ($approx 310 million) and Linen Club’s parent firm Jayashree Textiles alone had reported sales revenue of Rs 1600 crore (approx $248 million) in the last financial year with nearly half of it coming from the domestic market.
 
“We do plan to launch branded apparels across modern trade soon. Right now, it is there across our 150-odd exclusive brand outlets,” Satyaki Ghosh, CEO, Domestic Textiles, Aditya Birla Group told BusinessLine.
 
Currently, Linen Club offerings have been introduced at one ‘Central’ (owned by Future Lifestyle Fashions) store in Bengaluru. “We are piloting with one store at present,” he added.
 
Linen Club which opened its first store in Hyderabad in 2002 is endorsed by Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.
 
The brand currently has around 150 stores across the country.
