The Dubai-based Landmark Group’s fast fashion business Lifestyle plans to open a store in India every 45 days for the coming two years as it expands its retail footprint in the country.

Lifestyle will invest between Rs 10 crore and Rs 12 crore for each subsequent store that it will open in India over the next two years with funds raised through internal accruals. The brand is embracing an omni-channel retail strategy and expanding its India retail footprint alongside its online business.

Lifestyle’s executive director, Vasanth Kumar, told Images Business of Fashion that the business is working on speeding up its “go-to-market strategy” by bringing the latest fashion trends to stores at a faster pace. Kumar stated that he was confident this would speed up growth.

The brand is also investing in technological advancements to ameliorate the in-store experience. Recent innovations include a self-checkout kiosk in stores to speed up shopping times, mobile points of sale, and extra fitting room assistance.

The business currently has a total presence in 77 stores in 44 Indian cities and also delivers to over 18,000 pin codes through its e-commerce store. The brand produces womenswear, menswear, and children’s wear as well as footwear, accessories, beauty products, and handbags.
