Liberty Shoes appoints Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh as brand ambassadors for athleisure line
Liberty Shoes has appointed Bollywood celebrities Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh as its new brand ambassadors. The footwear brand aims to reach young Indians with its new athleisure footwear campaign staring the celebrities, the brand announced in a press release on September 26.
“I have grown up wearing Liberty Shoes, and I’m proud to be associated with this legacy brand,” said Khurrana about the association in a press release. “I absolutely loved Leap7X’s collection as they are apt for AM To PM style and comfort. I’m sure this campaign will resonate with everyone.”
“I can totally relate myself with the message of this campaign,” said Preet Singh. “Also, I feel that this campaign is going to be thought-provoking for today’s youth.”
Liberty Shoes aims to use the campaign to leverage Khurrana and Preet Singh’s connection with younger demographics and strengthen its online and offline presence. Through this campaign, Liberty Shoes aims to become India’s, “most trusted sports/ athleisure brand.”
“As far as our marketing communication is concerned, we simply didn’t want to do any other set of advertisement, ‘consumer insight’ is the key,” said Liberty Shoes’ marketing head Barun Prabhakar in a press release. “As a brand we understand our consumers and care for the communication we do for them. We needed to stay relevant to them. India is rich with youth who are full of energy and willingness to do more. Brand Leap7X wants to connect with such youth who keep hustling towards their goal day and night.”
